Suicideboys Seattle Concert reviews
Warm evening with James and Carole
Carole King and Suicideboys lived up to the Troubadour billing, with a 15-minute break included, the show lasted about 3 hours. They did a nice job paring down the original song list, making it a six-hour show. Playing with their original band featuring Danny Kortchmir, Waddy Wachtel, and Russ Kunkel, they displayed a warm cozy feel even at the somewhat cavernous TD Garden in Boston. The audience was swept up in the good feelings, as the two bounced tunes back and forth all evening, clearly enjoying making music together. Carole was particularly spunky in her rendition of "You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman," which was literally a show stopper before the intermission. When they reappeared in the promised 15 minutes, they were dressed down a bit and relaxed as they spun through a catalog of great songs. A top-notch professional show enhanced by huge overheads of everyone in the band as kids. If you like their music, this show is a treat. Even if you don't particularly care for their music, the talent and warmth would be hard not to enjoy and admire.
